Christy Angeletti recorded her first session of songs at the world famous, Chelsea Studios in Nashville where so many famous names in the music business got their start, including Alan Jackson, Shania Twain and Tom T. Hall. Her first recording session featured such famous players as Tony Migliore, Jerry Kroon, Sonny Garrish, Jimmy Carter, Pete Bordonali and Nashville's Warner Brothers string section. Christy's co-producers and surrounding entourage of people who have assisted her in the project is like the Who's Who of the music business. Platinum Plus International is one of the largest development labels in the world and also boasts some of the most successful artists in the country music business. Christy's album will be in distribution early 2010.
Christy Angeletti, singer/songwriter, has been singing since she was a young girl. Her musical roots started in her small town church. Christy has a wonderful family that has encouraged Christy through this musical journey. Christy now enjoys singing and writing country songs with a rock edge. She loves to share her life experiences through her music. When you hear her songs, you'll be able to connect with her emotion. Whether laughing, crying, singing or shouting, you'll be able to relate to every emotion these songs embrace. Christy Angeletti is an avid animal lover. She owns 4 dogs and says she'd have even more if she had the space. She is a big supporter of Save Animals Now, the world wide humane society charity. "As an animal lover I can't stand by and watch animals mistreated and abused. It's important to do something to stop the abuse of animals." She also is a big supporter of the Breast Cancer Foundation charity. She has an aunt who has survived breast cancer twice and now has an even deeper understanding of how much strength this fight takes. She has met some of the strongest and most inspiring women who have had to join this fight. "I have the utmost respect for these women and think that everyone should do their part to help join this fight," says Christy. Christy has participated in various fund raisers, charitable organizations and non profit organizations as an artist and will continue to do so in the future. "I want to encourage you to give and support breast cancer charities and save a life with your contributions."
Christy has had several musical influences in life, including: Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Nicks, and Heart, just to name a few. She also enjoys listening to other musicians such as: Faith Hill, Jo Dee Messina, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Brad Paisely. Christy listened to all types of music growing up, and has a deep respect for artists from all walks of life. In addition to songwriting, Christy loves to be on stage. She says "this is where I come to life." Because of her originality and unique vocals, her stage presence is captivating. Performing is her passion and you can see this with every performance. When Christy takes the stage, you can "experience" every emotion with her. Christy sings about things that are so close to her heart that she can't help but exude these feelings on stage. She would love for you to come and be a part of this experience with her. This Midwest country girl has rocked with some of the biggest names in country music such as Jo Dee Messina, John Michael Montgomery, Darryl Worley, and Josh Gracin to name a few. Christy Angeletti is a cutting edge singer/songwriter based in Columbus, Ohio. Christy's music reflects her strength as a woman and embraces the beauty of it as well. You will hear these themes again and again throughout her songs. Christy's debut album, "Perfectly Fine" will capture your heart and leave you wanting more. "There is nothing in this world that makes me happier than my songwriting. Perfectly Fine talks about the strengths of a woman, how she discovers that strength and draws on it during life's most difficult times. The title song is very empowering. I hope it encourages women and girls everywhere to be OK with who they are and embrace it. The songs on my latest album are very close to my heart. I love to record songs that make me feel the feelings of strength, love and even help me to express my sadness. Some of my songs are just fun songs that embrace the strength of women everywhere. My favorites are the ones with a little attitude that tell things the way they really are."
"Songwriting is the challenge of my life. Within the past year, I have written a large catalog of songs, including the first eleven songs for my CD project and I co-wrote the final song. I took the time to record this album the right way. I hired a very well known producer who consulted with me on my catalog of songs and we had them studied to see which songs I should record first. I had a very good local band that I worked with for a number of years. I had to turn my attention to the national stage at some point and so for the past few years I've been concentrating on writing and recording in Nashville. This album project has been amazing. I have to say that to fulfill my goals in music, I had to come to Nashville and work with the best musicians in the world. To make it to the next level of the music business, you have to surround yourself with the best people in the business. I also have to be true to myself and then I know I can't go wrong, no matter what happens."
She's married to what she calls "her biggest fan." He is her biggest supporter and she can't imagine life without him. Taking this musical journey together has brought them closer than they could have ever imagined. When Christy isn't singing, performing, and songwriting, she works as a nurse. Christy says she loves this job because like with her music, she can make a difference in people's lives on a daily basis.
